Sombrero Thunder Cat : Ranch Sorting Cow Horse

Sombrero Thunder Cat’s cow horse background
I bought “Thundercat” from Mark holler. He’s a cutter and Mark’s daddy was a big-time cutting horse trainer—he’s the one that trained “Mecom Blue”. And this little horse, that “Sombrero Thunder Cat” is out of, is a horse named “Kid Mecom Blue”. Mark owns him too. I showed against that horse quite a bit. He was a nice little stud.
On the bottom side, Thundercat is out of a “Petoboonsmal” mare that Polly Hollar won money on. And she was out of the “High Brow Cat” mare down there. I liked the horses that it produced and won money on the bottom side, not just on the top side.
Info about Thunder Cat’s character and training
Thundercat has a lot of natural mood to him. Just out there running, he’ll want to sit on his tail and turn around. He’s more of an open type rider, even though I’ve got an amateur riding him right now. He’s got the moves and the speed.
He’s putting it together. Thundercat’s won his first check— even though he hasn’t been shown, but twice. He’s just got so much natural ability and fold, and cow in him. If he can get close enough, he wants to bite ’em (cows). If he can’t get close, he wants to rare up and step on him….stomp ’em.
I like Thundercat and how he’s coming along. He’s a nice little horse, but he’s for an advanced rider. I won’t sell him to a beginer.
