Scoots Danelle Boon’s cow horse background
I bought “Scoots Danelle Boon” and his three-quarters sister on the same day. He’s by “Smart LiL Scoot” out of a “Peptoboonsmal” mare. He came from Howe Sutton’s daddy, HE Sutton. He owns Smart Lil Scoot and a lot of them good mares. This horse is out of a Peptoboonsmal mare that won and produced. She put a lot of Peptoboonsmal in this little horse. He is just so athletic.
Scoots Danelle Boon’s character and training
(When I first saw him) He wasn’t broke. He was on a lead rope, but the way he moved around, handled itself in there, and sat down—I was impressed. So I bought him; I think he’s going to make a really nice horse. Josh has done a great job getting him started, and I’m fix’n to start finishing him right now. He’s a three-year-old, and he’s got the bones, got the mind. He ought to make somebody a real nice horse, and we’ll see how he finishes out. I can’t tell you if he’s going to be an open horse or an amateur horse. But I’m looking forward to putting quite a few rides on him in the next 90 days.
